Amidst the hustle and bustle and never-ending ‘deals’ of ‘cyber week’ ‘black friday’ and ‘shop small saturday’, I wanted to take a moment to focus on the one thing that personally drives me, and the Farm2Me team as a whole, this time of year: Gratitude.
I’m very grateful for the fact that for 13 years, we’ve been working with bean-to-bar chocolate makers, farm fresh cheesemongers, transparently sourced, single origin coffee roasters, and seasonal beverage, spice, and other emerging food & bev brands. I’m grateful to the cocoa farmers for being stewards of the land and for keeping the production of fine chocolate alive. I’m grateful for our sourcing partners on Dairy Farms, on Fishing Boats, and in Spice Fields who go to great lengths to ensure farmers are treated well, and ingredients like tea and spices are top-notch. I’m grateful for the Farm2Me staff who come to work every day with unrivaled creativity and problem-solving grit, eager to get the job done. And… I’m grateful for you.
Thank you for investing your hard-earned cash to support small but scrappy emerging and mission driven brands that are committed to being uncompromising when it comes to equity in our supply chain and bold flavors in your favorite products. Every day, coming to work feels like a dream, eating and tasting the healthiest products in the world, both literally and figuratively, as you enable me to experiment with fixing this food system. What could be better than that? Because of this, it is my commitment to you to continue to work to build more equitable and transparent type of food system.
