Who we are
“At two, my son was diagnosed with autism and severe gastrointestinal issues.

To get him on track, my wife and I started to put him on an aggressive gluten free and dairy free nutrition program.

The nutritional changes helped heal his GI issues, which allowed for better absorption of nutrition.

As a result, he could focus on other necessary therapies.

Within three years, our son was in a mainstream classroom and was doing well academically and socially.

I’ve dedicated my time in developing snacks free of damaging ingredients and founded Amrita Foods in 2012.

Since then, our growth has been steadily amazing.”

What we do
Amrita’s mission to create better-for-you plant-based snacks that nourish the body and soul.

They focus on “inclusion” by creating snacks free from the top 9 food allergens.

They strive to hit a balance between local and global ingredients to reflect the America we all live in.

They follow a triple bottom line – where people and social mission take equal priority to profits.

And lastly, Amrita is deeply involved in giving back to the autism community by providing employment to young adults in the spectrum.

Amrita launched their new allergen-free bakery last March 2020 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
