FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why do the goods delivery vary by day?
The good makers and farms have different schedules for harvest and production, so some goods are only available on certain days of the week.
How many days in advance should I place my order?
Two days is the minimum. But we recommend 3-5 days — this gives the food makers and farms enough time to prepare your order and harvest your produce on demand. If you place your cider donuts or jam on Saturday before midnight, you’ll get your groceries by Tuesday. If you order on Sunday before midnight, you’ll get your groceries by Wednesday, etc, etc. Sometimes there is an exception, and a food maker only harvests or produces for on certain day(s) of the week. In this case, we have noted the day of production in the food description. If you order after a production day, then you will have to wait until the following production day, plus the recommended 3-5 days for your order to arrive.
How do I edit my order?
You can change the quantity, and remove items you’re receiving in My Basket on the top-right of the page. Or if your order has already been placed, email us at accounts@farm2.me w/ the subject: “EDIT: Wednesday Order #XXXXXXXXX-XX” and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Can I cancel an order? How?
You can cancel an order up until the order window closes. Order windows close at 11:59pm the day your order was placed. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to refund last minute cancellations. We give the farms and food makers this window of time so they can prepare and deliver your food. It allows things to arrive fresh and harvested for you! To cancel an order, email accounts@farm2.me with the subject: “CANCEL: Wednesday Order #XXXXXXXXX-XX” and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible with a cancellation confirmation. Easy peasy!
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
You do not need to be home. Give us special instructions in My Basket on the top-right corner >> Check Out screen, and we’ll leave your groceries in a secure spot like behind the garage, or behind your locked fence. Cold items are packed in insulated sleeves with reusable ice packets so don’t worry – they’ll stay cold while you head home.
What If I miss my delivery or pickup?
We understand, it’s life, so if you miss a delivery we do our best with our delivery partners for you to pickup same or next day. Give us a call and we can figure out an alternate plan. We can’t guarantee any orders not picked up during the pickup window.
For missed deliveries, we cannot guarantee the temperature-appropriate conditions to keep your order fresh as possible will maintain for an additional day. Please note that we do not recommend you hold your groceries in-house at a Fed Ex, USPS or UPS facility for more than 24 hours.
Help! I’ll be out of town for two weeks. How do I skip an upcoming weekly recurring order?
Email us at accounts@farm2.me with the subject: “SKIP ORDER Wednesday 00/00/0000: Account #XXXXXXXXXX-XX” on any upcoming orders that the food makers and farms have not yet started making yet.
Can someone else pick up my order?
Yes! Follow the instructions of the delivery driver, but usually you can give us the name of the person that placed the order and the driver will leave the package with you.
Do you reuse packaging?
Yes! Just return items to the makers that send them to you upon your next order, or donate to your local library, YMCA recycling program, or grocery store to receive refund on containers with a deposit. Many places will take your paper bags as well – can reuse them or recycle them.
How do I contact one of the farmers or food makers on Farm2me?
Each food maker and farm has contact information in their item’s description. Soon we will also have webstands for each maker, which will include a “contact us” button. Email away!
